College Football Coach
John "Jimbo" Fisher is the former Head Football Coach at Texas A&M University. Also the former Head Coach of the Florida State Seminoles football team, Fisher carried the torch passed down after a legendary 33-year run of success by former Head Coach Bobby Bowden. Fisher came to FSU as Offensive Coordinator after running the LSU Tigers offense for 6 years including their championship season in 2003. After joining the Seminoles, as the heir apparent to Coach Bowden, Fisher led the Seminoles to Florida State’s first ACC Championship in nearly a decade and five consecutive bowl appearances, including the Orange Bowl in 2012 and the Rose Bowl in 2014.
A former collegiate star quarterback himself -- coached by Bowden’s son Terry -- Fisher used his experience and passion for the game to improve and polish the next generation of offensive stars en route to his first head coaching position at Florida State. Fisher’s inaugural year as head coach marked FSU’s first 10-win season since 2003.
