Bill Lawrence is an award-winning television writer, producer, and director. His current projects include the acclaimed Apple TV + series Ted Lasso, for which he recently won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series; Shrinking with Jason Segel for Apple TV +; Bad Monkey with Vince Vaughn for Apple TV +; and a Clone High reboot for HBO Max.
Bill previously created and executive-produced Scrubs and co-created Cougar Town, Ground Floor, Spin City, and Clone High. Scrubs, which was twice nominated for an Emmy Award, was also named a Future Classic by the TV Land cable network and was the winner of both a Humanitas Award and an Imagen Award. Bill also executive-produced/supervised numerous other shows under his Doozer banner including Whiskey Cavalier, Undateable, Nobody’s Watching, Surviving Jack, and Head of the Class.
Bill currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Christa Miller (The Drew Carey Show, Scrubs); their daughter, singer Charlotte Lawrence; and sons, Will and Henry.
