Vanity Fair West Coast editor Krista Smith is the magazine's ambassador to Hollywood. She introduces readers to a breakout talent each month in the "Vanities" section and plays an instrumental role in producing the highly anticipated annual Vanity Fair  "Hollywood Issue" cover and portfolio. Smith has also written numerous cover stories for the magazine, including pieces on Kate Winslet, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts.

In recent years, Smith has taken her journalistic talents from the world of print and expanded them as the face of VF.com's "Screening Room" where she is seen interviewing some of the most fascinating people in film. From Toronto to Sundance to Cannes, Smith has attended every major film festival while interviewing the likes of Natalie Portman, Robert Redford and Ryan Gosling.

Smith has made several TV appearances including co-hosting ABC's Oscar Pre-Show with Robin Roberts and Tim Gunn as well as In the House with Peter Bart. Expanding on her growing on-camera duties, Smith recently hosted her own interview special Out of Character with Krista Smith for the USA Network. In the show Smith featured three of Hollywood's elite talents: Gwyneth Paltrow, Seth MacFarlane, and Jason Wu in a collection of candid one-on-one conversations.

Smith currently resides in Los Angeles.
