Actress, The Summer I Turned Pretty
A burgeoning actress with a striking presence, Lola Tung is quickly making a name for herself as one to watch in Hollywood.
Lola can currently be seen as the lead in Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty, her first major role out of school. Based on the New York Times bestselling trilogy by Jenny Han, who also wrote the To All the Boys... series, the show follows Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Tung), an ordinary teenage girl who spends the summer in Cousin’s Beach with her mother and older brother. During her vacation, she reunites with her childhood friends only to become tangled up in a love triangle. It’s a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer. The series also explores the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendships.
Off-screen, Lola enjoys singing and playing guitar. She is also an advocate for women’s rights, animal rescue, gun control, and climate change.
A New York native, Lola graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and is currently studying at Carnegie Mellon University in The School of Drama Acting and Music Theater.
