Artist & New York Times Bestselling Author
Mari Andrew is a New York Times bestselling author, artist, and speaker who shares stories about the powers of uncertainty, loss, sensitivity, and exploration.
Mari's career as an artist began when she was going through a season of grief and loss in 2016 and needed a new fun form of self-expression to lift her up. She decided to make one drawing a day for a year and put up her work on Instagram to keep herself accountable. Mari's audience quickly grew to over 1 million followers, and she has continued sharing her artwork for over 5 years.
In March 2018, Mari published her first book, Am I There Yet?, which became a New York Times bestseller. The book serves as a guide to growing up, featuring "achingly vulnerable and completely relatable watercolor illustrations about relationships, heartbreak and the struggles of urban life" (The Washington Post).
The book was followed by a companion workbook, Getting There, which helps readers record their journey to adulthood with words and doodles.
