Nina Dobrev has established herself as one of the fastest rising leading ladies in Hollywood, amassing an impressive resume of diverse and memorable television and film roles.
Nina recently starred in the CBS multi-cam comedy FAM. This fall she was seen in Roger Avary’s LUCKY DAY opposite Luke Bracey and Crispin Glover. In LUCKY DAY, Nina portrays Chloe, the French-speaking female lead in this thriller that takes place over a single day. Next up, she stars in feature film RUN THIS TOWN opposite Ben Platt, which premiered in this year’s SXSW Film Festival. She recently wrapped production on her next film SICK GIRL – she is also an executive producer on the project.
Nina was last seen in the Voltage Picture comedy THEN CAME YOU, in which she stars opposite Asa Butterfield and Maisie Williams. Prior to that she starred in DOG DAYS, in which she plays Good Day Seattle host Elizabeth in the canine-connected romantic comedy.
Additional film credits include Sony’s FLATLINERS, CRASHPAD, XXX: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE, Groundswell Productions’ THE FINAL GIRLS, which was released by Sony Pictures in October 2015 and premiered at the 2015 SXSW Festival. Dobrev also starred, opposite Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr, in the Twentieth Century Fox comedy LET’S BE COPS, which opened #1 in August 2014. Previously, she costarred in Summit Entertainment film, PERKS OF A WALLFLOWER, written and directed by Stephen Chbosky.
Other past film credits include Screen Gems’ THE ROOMMATE with Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly, Montecito Pictures’ CHLOE with Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson, THE KILLING GAME with Kellan Lutz and Samuel L. For six seasons, Nina starred as fan favorite dopple-gangers “Elena Gilbert” and “Katherine Pierce” on the highly successful CW drama THE VAMPIRE DIARIES from creators Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. Her other television credits include lead roles on DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION and MTV’s THE AMERICAN MALL, as well as a guest appearance on ELEVENTH HOUR. She has also appeared in the television movies NEVER CRY WEREWOLF and TOO YOUNG TO MARRY.
Born in Bulgaria, Dobrev moved to Canada at the age of two and currently resides in Los Angeles.
