Rachel Dratch is perhaps best known for her 7 years on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, where she created many memorable characters including “Debbie Downer.” After leaving the show she appeared on the NBC series 30 ROCK, created by her Second City and SNL co-star Tina Fey and had running guest appearances on PARKS AND RECREATION, LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER, BROAD CITY, INSIDE AMY SCHUMER, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, and MAN SEEKING WOMAN. Rachel also brought to life the role of “Mary” in ABC’s IMAGINARY MARY starring Jenna Elfman. On the feature side, Rachel appeared in the Adam Sandler films THAT’S MY BOY, JUST GO WITH IT, CLICK and I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY, and opposite Parker Posey and Amy Poehler in SPRING BREAKDOWN. In 2015, Rachel shot SISTERS for Universal alongside Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. She has also lent her voice to Seth Meyer’s Hulu series THE AWESOMES, Fox’s BOB’S BURGERS and THE CLEVELAND SHOW, as well as Disney Channel’s FISH HOOKS and PICKLE & PEANUT.
Rachel also is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir Girl Walks Into A Bar: Comedy Calamities, Dating Disasters, and a Midlife Miracle published in 2012.
Additionally on the New York stage, she appeared in Manhattan Theatre Club’s production of the David Lindsay-Abaire play RIPCORD under the direction of David Hyde Pierce, in PRIVACY at The Public opposite Daniel Radcliffe, and took part in a limited run of CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY on Broadway with Alec Baldwin. Rachel can be seen in THE WEEK OF opposite Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Steve Buscemi on Netflix. Most recently, Rachel can be seen starring in WINE COUNTRY along with Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, Anna Gasteyer, and Paula Pell, now streaming on Netflix.
Kicking off 2020, Rachel is featured as corrupt parole officer “Paula” in season 10 of Showtime’s hit dramedy SHAMELESS, recurs as “Linda Shuck” on the GOOD FIGHT and appears regularly on this season of SNL as presidential hopeful Senator Amy Klobuchar.
Lastly, Rachel is co-writing and co-creating a Netflix animated series based on the popular children’s book HUMAN BODY THEATER with author Maris Wicks. A clever, sensitive and sometimes silly look at the 11 systems that make up the human body.
