Former NFL Quarterback
Ryan Fitzpatrick is a former NFL quarterback who played for nine teams over his 17-year NFL career. Fitzpatrick is the first NFL quarterback to throw a touchdown for eight different teams. In addition, he is the only NFL quarterback to throw for 400 yards or more in three straight games.
Fitzpatrick played his college football at Harvard University. During his time at Harvard Fitzpatrick majored in economics. In his senior season Fitzpatrick was named the 2004 Ivy League Player of the year and the winner of the George H. “Bulger” Lowe Award. He threw for 1,986 yards including 13 touchdowns, while leading Harvard to a 10-0 record, winning the Ivy League Championship. During his pre-draft workouts, Fitzpatrick scored the highest Wonderlic Test score ever achieved among NFL quarterbacks.
Fitzpatrick was known as a journeyman throughout his time in the NFL, both serving as a starting and backup quarterback. In some of his most notable years behind center, he was seen playing for the Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Miami Dolphins.
Like his life on the field, Fitzpatrick has a busy life at home. He and his wife Liza are parents to seven kids.
