Stephanie Hsu: Biography at a Glance

  • Stephanie Hsu is the star of the Academy Award-winning Best Picture Everything Everywhere All at Once opposite Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis.
  • Her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
  • She also won a SAG Award (Best Ensemble) for her work as ‘Mei’ on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
  • Stephanie originated the roles of "Karen The Computer" in SpongeBob the Musical and "Christine Canigula" the lead in Broadway’s cult-hit Be More Chill, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical.
  • Stephaine can be seen in the Disney+ series American Born Chinese, opposite Michelle Yeoh; and in the Anthology series from Rian Johnson Poker Face. She is currently producing and starring in the upcoming Peacock series LAID.

Biography

Stephanie Hsu stars in the Academy Award-winning Best Picture Everything Everywhere All at Once for which she received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and nominations for Best Supporting Actress for the Academy Award, Critics' Choice Award, and the Screen Actors Guild Award. She won a SAG Awards (Best Ensemble) for her work on EEAAO and as ‘Mei’ on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. On Broadway, Stephanie originated the roles of ‘Karen The Computer’ in SpongeBob the Musical and ‘Christine Canigula’ the lead in the cult-hit Be More Chill, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical.

Stephanie can be seen in the television series Poker Face on Peacock and in the Disney+ series American Born Chinese, as well as in the feature films Joy Ride and The Fall Guy. She is currently producing and starring in the upcoming Peacock series LAID.
