The Thunder Fellows Program is a collaboration between The Oklahoma City Thunder and CAA Sports. The partnership is designed to unlock new opportunities in sports, technology, and entertainment for Black students in the Tulsa area.
Guided by the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission and the George Kaiser Family Foundation, the program will be comprised of two groups of students: Fellows (Black students from regional colleges and universities) and Young Leaders (Black students from 8th-12th grade in Tulsa area schools). The Thunder Fellows Program will be located in the Historic Greenwood District.
With the goal of creating a clear path to future career opportunities in professional sports and other lucrative industries, the Thunder Fellows Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and will launch in 2021.
